Makaton – Introduction

Course Overview:

The workshop provides an introduction to Makaton and combines a practical approach with theory and technical information.

Course Outline:

You will learn;

• Signing instruction is given for Core Vocabulary Stages 1-2 and Additional
• Makaton symbols are included and examples of their use are given
• Knowledge of the Makaton Vocabulary Language Programme is discussed within the context of signing systems
• Use signs with speech in conversation by the end of the day

Course Certification:

A certificate from the Makaton Charity is provided for each participant completing the Introduction to Makaton Workshop

Day 2 of the Beginners’ workshop may be completed at a later stage, if desired.
